Important Note: foot spas sold under the name Ashiyu have the same components and operating instructions.

Spa Program

The default settings of the heater controller are ideal. The pump cycles on every few hours, checks the temperature, and if it needs heat it will cycle until the preset temperature is reached..

Setting the Temperature

You can change the preset temperature on your spa by pressing and holding the "up" arrow on the keypad. When the digits flash press the "up" and "down" arrows to change the preset temperature and press the "set" button to enter it.

Advanced Programming

If you would like the Sole Bowl to cycle on at certain hours and stay off at other times, get to know the programming menu. It is found in the owner's manual accessible below. Also visit the Troubleshooting page for advice on correcting specific spa problems.

Spa Care

Fill and empty with a hose

While any hot tub sanitizer chemical can be used, we like and recommend the gentleness of the biguanide system, now marketed under the brand name Sirona.

To use the Sirona system, add one ounce of Sirona sanitizer every couple weeks or so, depending on use. It is important to also add one ounce of Sirona hydrogen peroxide shock at each water change and after heavy usage. With light usage, one ounce of the shock every two or three days should be sufficient.

With regular use, your Sole Bowl should have its water changed every four to six weeks. Attach a hose to the faucet inside the cabinet and open the spigot while the pump is running. You can also close the large valve handle to speed the pumping action.

Spa Mechanicals

Whenever the water is changed the filter should be serviced as well. Use the blue wrench that accompanied the spa to unscrew the filter can and empty it. The filter can be rinsed and reused in some cases, or new ones can be found as a standard water filter element at many hardware stores.
